Resolutions and Recommendations

The following are the draft texts (in English) of the resolutions and recommendations adopted at the 4th IUCN World Conservation Congress. These have been edited to include the amendments agreed to during plenary sessions of the Members’ Assembly and to include language/grammar corrections.

Please note that further minor amendments of a purely editorial nature may be made before final formatting, layout and publication takes place. The Spanish and French drafts will be posted online in January 2009. Careful attention will be paid to the harmonization of language versions.

Please note that the texts contain the motion numbers that were used as a reference during Congress. For final publication, these will be replaced by the resolution or recommendation number as per the list below.
